What Red holds
Your account can include your email, display name, protected passphrase record, device sessions, performer profile, writing and versions, conversations, Board ideas, imported files, recordings and transcripts, sets, show notes, gigs, contacts and expenses. Red also keeps usage and payment records needed to run account access and allowances.
This website has no advertising cookies, analytics, mailing-list collection or payment form. Fonts and images are served with the site. Hosting services handle connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the service. Red uses session cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and support your work. Opening another linked service takes you to that service.
Writing and AI processing
AI features send the context needed for the requested feature to OpenAI. That may include your selected writing, conversation, performer preferences, relevant workspace context, audio, images or a selected document. Starting a contextual conversation can include relevant saved writing without pasting it again.
Responses can be wrong, unhelpful or similar to another response. You choose what to use. Red does not promise exclusive or legally protectable AI output.
OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless a customer opts in. Its retention rules vary by endpoint and account controls; abuse-monitoring records may be retained. Red does not claim zero retention. Read OpenAI’s API data controls.
Connected services
Connections are optional. Google sign-in tells Red which account you connected; Red stores that account identity and encrypted access credentials on its server. Each service asks for its own permission. You can disconnect a service in Red at any time.
Google Calendar: with permission, Red reads your calendar list so you can choose an owned calendar. Red retrieves event details for previews and selected imports into your gig book. It can create or update events you deliberately link to a Red gig, and synchronize linked changes. Stored information can include event titles, dates, times, locations, descriptions and linking identifiers. Google’s permission covers more than the calendar and events selected inside Red.
Gmail: available only in the private preview while its public review is pending. With read permission, Red retrieves matching messages’ subjects, senders, dates and excerpts for your chosen received-date range. Opening a preview retrieves that message’s text without calling AI. If you choose messages to have Red read, a separate sharing prompt asks permission to send their text and supported attachment text to OpenAI for suggested travel details. You review and choose what to save to your gig. Red does not send, alter or delete Gmail messages. The Google permission is broader than the messages you select in Red.
Google Contacts: with read permission, Red retrieves names, email addresses, phone numbers and organizations for review. Only selected contacts are added to Red. The import does not edit Google Contacts or establish automatic contact synchronization.
Red’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy. We use Google data to provide the connected features you choose. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Human access is limited to your specific permission, necessary security investigation, legal requirements, or uses otherwise permitted by those policies. Public Google verification is pending.
iCloud Calendar: with your Apple Account email and an encrypted app-specific password, Red reads your calendar choices and events in the range you request. You can preview events and import selected dates into your gig book. Imported copies do not automatically synchronize, and this feature does not change your Apple calendar.
iCloud Contacts: Red uses an app-specific password stored encrypted to read contact lists you choose to review. Importing selected contacts does not change your iCloud address book.
Disconnecting removes Red’s live saved connection credentials and pending connection requests. Imported contacts and saved gig details remain independent copies until you delete them. Disconnecting in Red does not revoke Google’s permission or remove data from Google or Apple. You can also revoke Red’s access in your Google Account or revoke the app-specific password in your Apple Account. Encrypted recovery copies follow the backup handling described below.
Services involved
DigitalOcean hosts the staging application and encrypted off-server snapshots. Resend sends account verification and recovery mail. OpenAI processes requested AI features. Paddle handles card entry and payment processing in the prepared billing integration; current billing acceptance uses its sandbox. Red does not receive your full card details.
Enabling road-route lookup will send chosen stop locations to a route provider. That hosted service is not activated yet. We will identify the provider before enabling it.
Storage, devices and recovery
Saved work is held in Red’s database. Original files, recordings, connection credentials and system backups use encryption. This is not end-to-end encryption: the running service must be able to process the work you ask it to use. Authorized operation or support may require access; routine help should begin without private material.
Some offline work and unfinished drafts are kept in your browser. Protect devices you use for Red. Sign-out, account deletion and provider disconnection should not be assumed to erase every independently downloaded file or device copy.
Export and deletion
Use Backup & recovery to keep a portable copy. Account deletion requires your passphrase and first checks that billing can be stopped. It removes live account data and associated stored originals; independent exports remain wherever you saved them.
We keep account information and saved work while you use Red, until you delete it or request its removal, subject to information needed for security, billing or legal obligations. Temporary Gmail readings can be reused for ten minutes; expired entries are cleared on a later reading or when their process ends, and disconnecting clears that account’s cached readings. Saved gig details have their own life in your account.
Automated local backups keep the 14 most recent encrypted snapshots. Off-server storage is configured to expire current snapshots after seven days and older object versions after seven more days; storage-provider deletion runs asynchronously. Protected copies retained for a release or recovery investigation can last longer until removed. Deleting an account is therefore not immediate erasure of every historical copy. Backups are for recovery, not active product use. Independent exports and third-party records have their own lifecycles.
For access, correction or deletion help, email support@redcomedyapp.com from your account email. We may verify account control before acting. We do not need your passphrase. Tell us if your request also concerns a previous recovery copy.
Questions and changes
For a privacy question, correction or deletion request, use the contact page. Do not send passwords or private work unless it is specifically needed and you choose to share it. We will update the date on this notice when it changes. For a material change to how we use your information, we will also provide notice in Red or by account email before that change takes effect.
